Metamorphic Styling

A large architecturally designed home close to Darwin city. This home boasts huge internal open plan spaces with views of the ocean from the main living areas. We wanted to complement the high quality finishes in this home and work with the large scale of the rooms. We opted for luxurious furniture pieces such as a leather sofa with chaise, velvet armchairs , marble coffee table and a silk floor rug. We chose to use neutrals and subtle shades of grey to allow the turquoise ocean dominate as the stand-out feature.

Metamorphic Styling

A small 2 bedroom ground-level home in Durack Heights. This house had compact rooms which needed to be cleverly furnished to show potential buyers how they could layout their furniture. We also made sure that we used full-size furniture pieces such as a 3 seater sofa, large entertainment unit and a queen sized bed to show that the rooms were large enough to accommodate a small family.

Metamorphic Styling

A ground-level family home on a semi-rural block. With a fully refurbished, open plan interior, this house needed oversized furniture and artwork to balance the large internal spaces. We opted for furnishings with warm, sandy tones to compliment the timber floors and added cool accents in blues and greens to really make the marketing photographs pop.

Metamorphic Styling

A traditional elevated family home on a corner block. With an un-renovated interior and generally compact sized rooms, we chose slim-line Scandinavian style furniture to create an illusion of more space. We also chose soft green accents in the master bedroom to counteract the warm timber floorboards and walls. In the lounge and dining areas, we chose bright pops of yellow to take the focus off the property faults and back onto the furniture. Using large, brightly coloured artwork also helped to give some depth to the marketing photography.

Metamorphic Partial-Styling

A traditional un-renovated elevated home on a corner block. The owner’s lounge room furniture was large and made the spaces feel cramped and gloomy. We replaced most of this furniture with lighter-coloured, contemporary pieces that really opened up the space. We chose large floor rugs to complement the new furniture and hide patches of damage on the original timber floor. In the bedrooms we kept the linen clean and white and used accents of bright green to complement the tropical feel of the home.

In this case, choosing which furniture pieces to keep and which to remove was key in making this property appear more family-friendly and appeal to a broader range of potential buyers.

Metamorphic Styling

A ground-level family home on a large rural block. The owners had recently used Metamorphic Interiors to design a complete renovation of this home to suit their growing family. Once the renovation was complete, the owner’s original furniture looked outdated and too small for the new spaces. Metamorphic was able to create a series of easy-care, warm and comfortable spaces for this family to share and enjoy.

We chose a large caramel-coloured leather sofa to balance the oak timber joinery throughout and paired this with single lounge chairs in petrol blue to provide a cool colour contrast. A natural wool floor rug and cushions in denims and linens give the space a relaxed and welcoming feel.

Metamorphic Styling

The owners of this ground level house recently chose Metamorphic Interiors to design a complete renovation of their home to suit their growing family. We chose a palette of cool greys and greens for the interior finishes to compliment the tropical style garden which was visible from most rooms of the house.

To complete the interior design, Metamorphic used some of the owner’s existing furniture and added new pieces where required for extra storage. We also featured the owner’s own artworks and combined them with new lamps, cushions and rugs to add texture and maintain a coherent tropical vibe.

Metamorphic Styling

An elevated home on a large block, this house was unfurnished and in need of some TLC. Prior to styling for sale, we made a few inexpensive improvements which really brought this property up to date. This included laying new carpet in the three smaller bedrooms, replacing broken fans and lights and a thorough spring clean.

For styling, Metamorphic chose contemporary furniture with a compact footprint to make small living areas look and feel larger. We added pops of bright colours such as oranges and greens to balance the home’s bright exterior paint colours and take the focus off property flaws.

In this case, choosing higher end furniture pieces helped to give this property a feeling of quality and sophistication.
